Matteo Rago- Founder
The founding attorney, Matteo Rago, graduated from Northeastern Illinois University with a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administrator and Political Science with Honors and the Northern Illinois Law School in 1983 with his Juris Doctor.
Being driven to do right for the working class, Matteo Rago opened his own firm in 1983 after he graduated law school.
Mr. Rago's ability to understand the everyday struggles of the working individual is well founded. He worked at Chicago Transit Authority in various positions such as ticket agent, conductor, motor man, switch man, carpenter, purchasing agent, train car builder, all while he was in undergraduate and law school. A little unknown fact, Mr. Matteo Rago has been a farmer for most of his life and still operates the family vegetable farm located in Crestwood, Illinois and is proud to donate his crops to various food pantries and groups. Matteo is proud to announce the newest addition to the Rago Family Farm machinery a 450 International Harvester Tractor obtained in March of 2023.
Mr. Rago opened his own practice after becoming licensed to practice law in 1983, while still working for the Chicago Transit Authority.
He was very active in the Northwest Bar Association, Chairman of the Continuing Legal Education Committee, Board of Governors, member of the Justinian Society, member of the Illinois State Bar Associations, member of the Worker's Compensation Law Section Council, and has published numerous articles regarding various issues of law.
